Is A Body Pillow Still A Body Pillow If It's On Your Couch?

I saw this photo on pinterest months ago and fell in love.

Although our sectional would tell you how much I love a plethora of pillows,
the thought of just one single oversized fluffy had me thinking.

Lots of pattern with less clean-up?

Hmmm....

I added it to the things-I'm-gonna-make-one-of-these-days list.

You know the one.

The list things go on, but never get off?

Someday I would find 15 minutes (the imagined time every project takes) to sew a case for a long pillow and all of life's problem would be solved and there would be world peace.

But then I was at Kohls and caught ol' Bessie outta the corner of my eye.
In the kids bedding section.

Although we are in Texas, I do realize that our family doesn't live on a farm (despite the lingering aroma in the boys room reminiscent of livestock that would suggest otherwise).

I am also aware that perhaps cow print only belongs on tole painted signs adorned with raffia and sunflowers circa 1992, but it's too late. I'm smitten.

For about $10 - on sale for half off PLUS a 20% off coupon PLUS Kohls cash that needed to be redeemed anyway - my list of projects just got shorter.

In theory.

From a completely random stranger I think the cow pillow on your couch looks really good actually. Mmm I think is now going on my "someday" list. Because really one pillow for my daughter to throw on the floor instead of 3 or 4? Awesome!

Love it! Love this whole room actually! I'm a fairly new reader and just love seeing a family room that looks put together but truly lived in. Great job, great find, and great bargain!

I'm crazy for any type of an animal print as long as it is faux ... always adds such a clean graphic punch to a room. I'm tired of picking up and fluffing all. the. pillows. This idea of an "over sized bolster" sounds grande to me. Of course the puppy dog will get ours before either of the humans :) Love your family room, great gallery wall too.

I see lots of schMOOzing on that couch in your future :)

You won't have to sMOOth it out much, either...

It's a nice modern MOOdy print. Classic cow. Never outta style-especially in TX!

I guess the best part is how little MOOlah you had to lay out to bring him home.

Well Done!( or medium rare if you like...)

Seriously, it looks amazing in the room. I like the size and the graphic print. It's a bold yet sutle statement. I may have to totally steal this idea...

Hope you have a grand 4th!

The "W" is from Hobby Lobby. They're about $10 and come in a yucky gold color. Use you 40% off coupon and some black craft paint and you're good to go.

I think I'm gonna use the cotton in a few old and under-stuffed pillows and make one of these babies. Ohhhh yes. I think that's what I'm gonna do. :)

...when I have the motivation to pull out the sewing machine. I think I need a craft room. ;)
