Way #3: Give 'Em The Bird

Feathers. They're everywhere.
my tree last year

So why not on packages too?

When I saw this at Garden Ridge (where Christmas begins in early July), it flew into my cart. They had some with actual birds too, but I liked the idea of just feathers vs. that-might-be-a-real-dead-and-stuffed-body taxidermy feel. That's just me. It already had a little clippy thing on it too, which meant it was ready for action. The Chuck Norris of ornaments. Paired with some Target Dollar Spot wrap and leftover trim, it's the biggest impact/lowest effort embellishment ever.

  1. Funny, my daughter was just flower girl in a wedding that used feathers as accessories in the bouquets, programs and decor. Your are right, they are everywhere! :)

  2. Love this idea! I'll definitely going to search for those Chuck Norris feathers/ornaments. The only feathers I usually come across are from the birds my cats have eaten.
