Way #18: It's Pretty Much My Favorite Animal.....It's Like a Lion and Tiger Mixed......

Okay, so maybe not an animal mix. More like a paper mix....

Kinda like a gift box version of wainscotting. You can finish it off with a simple bow,

or go a step further and add some embellishment.

(glittery ornament key bought for 50 cents after Christmas)

(another ornament....I told you they weren't only for Christmas)

Step 1: Wrap a box

Step 2: Wrap your second paper, but don't go all the way. You don't want to be that kind of girl.

I usually make the more expensive paper the smaller section so I don't have to use as much, but since these both came from Target Dollar Spot, it didn't matter.

Step 3: Tie a ribbon. And stick something in if ya wanna.

  1. Another love! Where do you shop for your pretty ribbons? And the dollar spot for paper, wonderful!

  2. I tried to keep the ribbon plain and simple on all of these. You could get them anywhere, but I buy mine at Hobby Lobby when they go half off (which is about every other week), putting them at $1-2/spool.

  4. I really like this one. Do you just tape your ribbon down so it doesn't slide?

  7. oh, but I *am* that kind of girl. Which is why I was married at 18.

Seriously love this idea, though. Where do you come up with this stuff? My grey matter goes on tilt when it's time to wrap crap.

  8. Awesome! This is just what I needed for all of my remnant wrapping papers! My mom would make a wrapping paper quilt when she was nearing the end of her wrapping and it wasn't at all glamorous, but it worked. This, however, is brilliant!

Totally laughed out loud at that part! Hilarious. I love how you can turn a gift wrapping tutorial into a sleazy girl comment.
