How To Send A Package That Guarantees A Smile {Message In A Bottle}

You've gotta know by now that the only way I would've made those aprons and towels I showed before so willingly is if they weren't for me. Give me something that I can make to give away and I go full speed ahead and never look back. One was for Sierra, one was for my Mom who got it while she was here,
(I know you weren't too thrilled about me taking this photo, which means you'll be even less enthused that I'm POSTING it, but I promise that nobody cares that you're in pajamas. The sheer cuteness overrides everything else.)

but the other gift had to be mailed. How can you put something so adorable in a plain ol' cardboard box, hidden away from the world?

You can't. Time to call in the old stuff-big-things-into-a-soda-bottle-so-it-looks-super-awesome trick. I haven't done it in years, but it seemed perfect. All labeled, covered with packing tape, and ready to be shipped.

Business in the front. Party in the back. And I got to smile a little as the lady at the Post Office asked if there was anything perishable, fragile or {long pause} liquid inside.

"Not anymore."

What a great idea! I had no idea you could actually send these in the mail! I'm going to send a bottle to my grandmother; she'll think it's a hoot. And tell your mom she is absolutely adorable :-)

How funny, I saw the pic of mom and thought, "look at how happy she is". Genuine smile there and, of course, the awesome apron. I'm STILL wearing mine! I love it!!!

I had no IDEA you could mail a Dr Pepper bottle! Do you think a Coke bottle would work instead? I kid! I kid! I'm so going to do this... as soon as I figure out somebody to mail something to...

I didn't even know your mom was in her pj's until you mentioned it. I just thought she had been shopping at Walmart! lol! For real, she looks super cute and VERY pretty. She doesn't look old enough to be your mom, honestly.

Didn't you know that the package won't ship if you have your address and the sendee's address scribbled out? The lady at the post office shoulda told you! :P
