That Hit The {Dollar} Spot

Those people at Target sure know what they're doing.

There's something about those aisles right by the entrance that suck me in every time. All those cute little buckets, headbands, socks, monkey face piggy banks....you know, stuff I don't actually need. I'm helpless to resist.

Today was no exception, but this time it wasn't a want, it was a NECESSITY, and I had to talk myself out of buying ten.

Who are we kidding? I'll probably be going back for more.

He'll be perfect for sticking in our friends flowerbed after dark. Or putting a string around his neck and hanging him as a car ornament in the church parking lot. Maybe a little gold spray paint and he'll be classy enough to peek out of our Christmas tree this December.

Gaudy, chintzy and completely tacky. We're soul mates for sure.

  2. I got some plastic flamingos at a Dirty Santa gift exchange one year, but my husband wouldn't let me put them in the yard. Such a snob!

  3. I told my husband and he wants to buy 50. So you should be good to go with a minimum of 10. Happy shopping!

  4. I recently bought my daughter one for her 21st birthday. She has been wanting one for her porch forever. Can you imagine even when we went to Florida last summer I could not find a one and bam Target. I heart that store.

  5. For our engagement party, my mom threw us a luau, complete with about two dozen pink flamingos. A few years later while we were cleaning out the garage, we found them and decided it would be fun to "flamingo" our friends yard. To this day, she has never figured out who was responsible!

  6. OH! Dang it! Those are only a week too late! We had a Mad Hatter's Tea Party last Saturday and were looking every.where for those stinkin things. Speaking of dollars, you should check out your local Dollar Tree. They have a ton of fun flamingo things, including straws with puffy flamingos. A serious must have for every classy party ... or day that ends in "y".

  10. A few years ago our flock of flamingos had an adventure to all our neighbor's yards - we had so much fun with them.
