You would think that the whole tornado of backpacks/homework/mom-my-teacher-said-you-need-to-sign-these-papers/looking to see what the dog chewed up today while we were gone/me wanting to be left alone for five seconds is that too much to ask so I can at least take off my shoes would drain all my energy. Make me want to just sit down for a few moments and r e l a x.
Yeah. You would think.
Except sitting down isn't how I relax.
After all, how can I even breathe when my hall looks like this today? Or since Saturday. Some of these guys were originally hanging in the game room, then moved to the living room,
and now that I have my mirror, they got booted to the floor. But that's where I'd be putting them anyway. Yep, the floor.
Whenever I'm going to hang up a bunch of pictures gallery style, I always figure out the placement on the floor first. That way you can move it all around as much as you want. And I like to move it move it. Especially when it looks like garbage.
I measure the space (12 feet long in this case) and find the middle, then I start there and work out, Jane Fonda style. Minus the headband. And firm thighs. That's it. Now that the hallway is clear and everything's off the ground I can finally sweep. Tomorrow.
If I feel like it.
Which isn't likely.
