Now Comes The Fun Part

where I put some of those clearance finds to work.

Or at least three of them.

I was perusing etsy when I saw a print that called my name. But $15 + shipping? No thanks. At least not when I can "do it my-self," said in my best 3 year old voice.

I used the original as inspiration and whipped up my own version in Photoshop, then sent it off to Walgreens down the street to be printed as a 5 x 7.

Total cost? $1.79 Just perfect sandwiched between two thrift store frames. At least the size was perfect. The color? Not so much. And, no offense to Mr. Pachyderm, the insides weren't exactly what I had in mind either. I promise -it's not you, it's me...

Nothing a little paint and some free images from here, printed on scrapbook cardstock, couldn't fix. Now if I knew how to do a cool little "download here" button, this is where it would go. But I don't. So if you need a jpeg of cake-y deliciousness, shoot me an email: and I'll send it back as an attachment.

How's that for hi-tech?

  1. I'd love the jpeg image!! Love your idea... thanks for sharing!

  2. You are very creative. I'm not that great with crafty things, they never look nearly as good! lol

  3. Great little print. I kinda liked Dumbo.

  5. what a great site to print pictures from! Love that idea!
