Well What Do Ya Know?

I got a surprise this weekend by being featured here on one of my favorite blogs. If you haven't stopped by, you're missin' out. FAB and frugal...two great tastes that taste great together. Or something like that.

Today I'm going to be procrastinating gearing myself up to get this house "company" clean. Oh yeah. There is my clean and there is people-will-be-staying-in-our-house-for-2-weeks-so-maybe-I-should-do-something-about-the-terriyaki-sauce-that-got-knocked-over-in-the-fridge-weeks-ago-and-the-tortilla-bag-that-is-now-permanently-stuck-to-the-bottom-shelf clean. The two standards couldn't be more different. Two things on my list have been crossed off, with only 143 left to go. No worries. The sooner I get behind, the more time I have to catch up....

  3. I'm so glad to hear that someone else's house has to go through the same cleaning process for guest. LOL. I had to scrub and I mean scrub applesauce that was hardened out of my fridge. Not fun.

  7. Oh wow, reading this was like a mirror of my unspoken thoughts!

Our most frequent guests are 'his family' and 'her family'. His Mom, apparently, keeps the tops of her doors dust-free, so the pressure is really on when they visit. My folks, on the other hand, don't notice the house but head straight for the garden, so the days before their visits involve lots of weed pulling.

But, Beloved Husband is slowly instilling this mantra in me:
If they don't like it, they don't have to come again.
Hopefully you can get to the same mindset about your guests!

  8. yah know if efro was there, there'd be no leftover tortillas to reside in a bag to get stuck to the bottom shelf.
