Printed out letters

traced it onto some "pretty paper" (thanks for the support, Hayden).

HA-who says I don't sew?

Framed it up.

Attempted to staple gun some ribbon to the back. When my staple gun gave me attitude, dropped him and used a hammer instead.
How else can you get staples to bend all catty-wonk? I'm calling it "rustic."
Grabbed a stack of remnant fabric

cut it into strips

tied it onto the ribbon

then gave it a haircut and foofed it. Technical term. And not one I use often.

Voila.

Perfect size for a dollar store gift box, ribbon from
here and an initial magnet.

My husband's two cents?
"I don't like it. I get the letter thing, but the top looks like somebody's old laundry."
But what does HE know?

I love it!! Everything you do is awesome! I might do that for Courtney's room....Hmmmmm....
Thanks for the inspirations.
You are so creative. How do you come up with these things?
I love it! I might copy it for the girls room too!
Stupid Factory- Where Boys Are Made. Haha. I'll probably be chuckling about that all day.
Let the truth be told!! I mean...my husband isn't stupid ;) I totally think the ribbon made it, that looks awesome.
Fantastic as usual!
In my defense, I didn't see the final product before the haircut. That made a big difference.
We'll take a "W". Thanks. BTW: where were you last night? We missed ya!
You are so creative..wish you were my neighbor and I would just hang around to see what you would come up with next!
oh man, boys just DO NOT GET IT sometimes. don't they all learn that they're supposed to smile and nod when we do creative things?
if i have time next week we are TOTALLY going to do those for teacher gifts. thanks for some awesome ideas as always - and where do i get the cute letter magnets???

Oh my goodness! Sooooo cute! I love your blog!
What a fabulous project! So creative! I love it! I have a sewing machine that I am afraid of. I think I MIGHT be able to handle this one, though! Thanks for visiting my blog! It's nice to meet you!
Adorable!!!! Can I link to this? Stupid heads.
I thought this was a brilliant and very chic idea. I did however feel slightly insulted by the stupid factory picture.
What are the fonts you used? I'll be stashing this idea away!!
Wow, that is CUTE! I love it!!!
Love it! My husband wouldn't get it either...but I do and love the idea!

Well, there's a good chance our husband's are related! My husband's favorite question in regards to my decorating purchases is, "But what is it FOR? What do you DO with it? I don't get it."
Blessings!
So yeah I'm really late seeing this post but I love it!! I really like the picture at the end!! Great idea, did you write the name at the bottom?
I am HOWLING at your husband's comment about the laundry. Am divorced but I can pretty much picture every male in my life saying the same thing. Thanks for posting!
And when I say every male, I mean dads and bro in laws etc. After I posted I thought that might be misconstrued.... ;o)
My husband would say the exact same thing!! I love it! So creative and fantastic :)

Awesome! Doing this project this year for my son's 3 teachers. He's autistic and will love helping with this one. Thanks so much.
I would love to know which font you used and how you got the template so big. Did you just enlarge it on a copier?
Do a google search for the letter you want, and then you can insert it into a word document and resize it to whatever size you need.
The handwriting font is "CK Becky" that you can download here: http://www.creatingkeepsakes.com/articles/CK_free_fonts
The other one is "Lucida Handwriting."
Hope that helps!
i love it! You are so creative- i hope to see more.
Where did you find the letter magnet? Need one--or a hundred.
