Just Another Reason To Trash The Kitchen

And when I say trashed, I mean in the "I-don't-even-want-to-catch-a-glimpse-of-it-because-it's-so-bad-that-the-thought-of-even-starting-to-clean-it-up-tonight-is-more-than-I-can-handle" way.

But we're all ready for tomorrow.

And boy did we have fun.

At least I did. Until the kids got home and ruined it by making me yell at them.

Totally exaggerating. Mostly.

After some inspiration from a few cooking blogs (stop laughing), we tried out this technique with an old favorite.

Then to get all fancy, and to have more to lick off my fingers, we busted out the chocolate melter thingy that was a gift from my mother-in-law via QVC (sorry for teasing you about that, JoAnn....). Sierra was in heaven raiding the pantry to see what else she could smother in the leftover chocolate. Once the chocolate set, I realized they wouldn't fit onto the plates like I thought.

Time for plan B, otherwise known as a quick trip to the recycling bin,and a little wrap with foil, and these hearts are ready to be broken passed out.All that's left is to wrap up the fudge, which I may or may not have eaten half of and therefore have no photo.

Packs of these from the Dollar Store, with a quick flip o' the lid, some traced circles, and some assistance from Mr. Glue Stick (note to self: not all purple glue sticks dry clear),turn into happy little somethings.
Of course, with the addition of 50 cent ribbon clearanced out at Michaels from the Christmas section...(Christmas? What-eva!)they really get perky. Can you see the smile?

  12. what's with the i love you too? what's my fave part you ask? the part about the broken hearts, lol. That chocolate melter reminds me of a fondue pot, which I think may be my next kitchen buy. I'm feeling like revisiting the 70's.
