Only One Thing To Do

We've got a severe weather watch, just waiting for our "ice storm" to arrive.

Kids were released early today because of it (good time for me to get rid of my cell phone, eh? When I got home I was greeted by the flashing answering machine..."you have 15 new messages.").

Luckily Daddy the super hero left work to come and sign them all out. Roger, you are best. Except when you tick me off.

What better way to cope with frigid (for us) temperatures than busting out our trusty old friend... The one and only way to have hot chocolate.

Pour in the milk and powder, and it stirs, heats and even gets all fancy like...

Mmmmmm.
And, of course, you need the perfect soundtrack for a rainy/icy/sleety evening.
This guy and his perfect chill/mellow/when will it get warmer like it was two days ago music:
Listen....can you hear it? Joshua Radin.

I was in B&N and heard it and Fell. In. Love.

  2. I want to buy one of those hot chocolate makers, I know Doug would love it, but really with him deploying to Iraq, do you think he needs one at 120 degree weather? I think not! I think you and my oldest Brother Ron are more alike than I thought... just one idea... he SWEARS by the hot chocolate maker, and wont use anything else.... although he has to have Stephens hot chocolate. yeah kinda a snob lol:)

  4. Oh PUHLEASE!! I just shoveled 18" of new powder off my driveway in -6degree weather. Bet you don't miss that do ya? But mom owns a Cocomotion.. much like your Cocoa-Latte. It's fabulous, I should breakdown and buy one.

  5. I love your little machine. We got a cocoa mixer as a wedding gift, but you do it by hand, and you have to heat the milk up first. So basically my point is that you're spoiled :) Don't you think Joshua sounds a bit like John Mayer?

  9. Love that machine! Can I tell you how hard it is finding one locally? I have been to every store in town! I might just have to break down and order it online. But I want one NOW! LOL
