This blogging thing is like everything else in life, I suppose.
Back in March when I started this "online diary", I didn't really have any idea what I would write about. I just kept hearing from certain people (you know who you are) that I should do one. Over. And over. And over. And eventually, it wasn't the peer pressure, but the logic that won me over. After all, our family lives thousands of miles away, and it's a great way for them to see what's going on with the Wisors. Or rather to prove that NOTHING is going on with the Wisors. It's made me write things down that otherwise would have been forgotten. And for the first time since I had babies, I began to take pictures again. But now that I've done posts on projects that I'm working on, however insignificant they may be, I've got some fellow bloggers that are reading my posts for ideas. HA! Imagine that! Things that I've put up for my mom ("Make sure you take before and after pictures!") are actually interesting to other people. People I've never met. And though at first it seemed a little odd (more than once I asked myself "Should I try to be a little more exciting now that strangers are reading this?"), it has been so much fun to find people that share my hobby. Although up until now, I'd always written off my compulsive, perpetual nesting as OCD. Oh, but now, NOW I have been empowered, and henceforth it will be referred to as my "hobby". Much more socially acceptable. And for the first time in my life, I've discovered that I'm not alone.
In any case, to make a long story short (too late for that, I suppose) I finally got my act together and went through and labelled all my posts. See them on the sidebar? Nice and neat. If you're just here to see wassup with the kiddos, you can go straight to that. If you're here to check out what project I'm wasting my time now, one click and you're there.
By the way, when I had finished everything and saw the final counts for all the different topics, I was in shock. Could it really be? I had absolutely no idea how much of my blog was devoted purely to random foolishness in all it's forms.
Hmmm. Perhaps this blogging thing is a truer reflection of my life than I ever could have imagined...
