Right before we left Utah, a bunch of friends and I went out one last time as a birthday/going away outing, and they took turns sharing a "Rebecca Moment." (Weren't you there Chelsea?) It was so interesting to hear what they remembered the most. Most were funny ("I'll never forget when you were chasing Brendan, who was completely naked and had poop all down his leg, through the neighborhood"), and a few were sweet, but the thing that they all had in common was that they were all things that I wouldn't have necessarily remembered on my own. Or things that I don't pick up on as a personality trait: "You could always tell when Rebecca was out in the hall at church because you could hear her laugh throughout the building." The way I view myself is alot different than the way others do. Sometimes worse, sometimes better, but always different.
In any case, these are for you, Kasey Ryan (or Boone. Sorry - you'll always be Kasey Ryan to me). Try to ignore the funky "cropped" shapes that aren't so scanner friendly. These are from a Pismo Beach Band Review circa 1989 (8th grade). There's the infamous "Pete" behind me on the right. Rachel Howard, Amber Elite, me and you. I think that Amber is still in Clovis somewhere (married to Chris Garcia). Any of you East Stake girls know her?? I had to include this one for Gwen - Jason Master doin' his "homie" pose. Classic. This is for Benjamin. Yes, I do remember getting lots of "don't we look alike" photos, but this is the only one I could find. It was when I was visiting for Christmas from Maryland, so that would mean I just had turned 18, which would've put you around 10 years old. It's funny to think that I hadn't really met Roger yet, but in about 6 weeks I would be engaged. Ahhh, how time flies.
