Monday, Monday

So I didn't lose anything this week but, to look on the bright side, I didn't gain anything either. That makes me very happy since 1. I've been laying around with Brendan all week (he didn't make it longer than 2 hours when I sent him on Wednesday) and 2. We have been out to eat more than we should of these last few days. In any case that arrow will be pointing DOWN next Monday.
In other news, we went driving around a few days ago out to Forney to check out some houses out there. It's beautiful and green, quiet and safe...and in the middle of nowhere. Been there, done that (see previous post). I posted a map so y'all have some frame of reference. It's on the far right going off the map (it says "Fo"). To be fair, it only took us 20 minutes from Roger's work in the heart of downtown Dallas to get there, so I guess it's not TOO bad, but it definitely goes from city to country REAL fast going east.
What a shame because we love saying "Forney-cation." Okay, inappropiate but funny.
It's a nice view of the downtown skyline (see photo) and now that the leaves are all coming out we are reminded of why we fell in love with Texas when we visited last summer. We drove out to the Plano/Allen area and we LOVE it there. Not as pretty since it's alot flatter the further north you go, but retail out the wha-zoo. And close to even more retail in Frisco (read:IKEA) and McKinney. And great schools. And a straight shot down 75 for Roger to be at work in University Park. Light years closer than Saginaw, that's for sure. Next week we're supposed to be going out and begin looking. Let's see how quickly our excitement turns to disappointment ;)

  1. Sounds like you are off to a good start in Texas.:) I read a couple comments you've made on your sisters blogs. You're so witty! I can't believe how much your children have grown. It has been a very long time since we've scene them. I saw you for a split second while I was holding the open house near your Mom's. You look great as usual. Good luck with everything!!!!

  2. Rebecca,
Why are you in Texas? Last I heard you were in Utah, I believe?
How is Jordan? Tanner is so into guns and pocket knives, hunting you know all the good stuff!
    Take care and good luck.

  3. I like the veiw and that you have green in between:) We just have...brown
