Here We Go Again

Tomorrow is Wednesday, which means we'll be headed out on another full day of house hunting. This week we are checking out Rockwall, which is a cute town on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard. GREAT THINGS ABOUT THE AREA: fabulous top rated schools, all the retail you could ever ask for, beautiful views and nice, safe, family-friendly neighborhoods. CONS: ALL THE HOUSES ARE NEWER (okay, the ones in OUR price range). I know, I know. Our realtor thinks we're crazy too. At least that I am. Roger doesn't care so much about how "new and shiny" a house is, as long as there is enough room to hold our family. But I don't want to live in a big people holder. I want something charming, something with some soul. All those new houses are bland bland bland. No trees. No history. Whenever I walk in I feel like "haven't I seen this house a hundred times before?" SOOOOO BORING. Here is a picture of my dream house: The good news is that there are 2 "older" homes that we found to look at, so we'll see. Unfortunately, when it comes down to it, even I know that I will sacrifice to have a good house for a good price in a good neighborhood. I realize that our family is more than just me. But a girl can dream, right?

  1. I agree all the new houses look the same, inside and out. Why would you want something, that everyone else has? Happy House Hunting!

  2. I'm Sorry! I don't think I know who you are? Do you know my Husband?
